We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Santos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My mission in life is to give local-to-Houston small businesses the chance to grow at The Galleria Mall. Many people in Houston have boutiques and some of those are co-ops/ collectives. What makes Pop Up Shop Galleria different is the shop does not take a cut of the sales! When someone purchases with us they are giving 100% of the sale to the local family business. We currently host 10 local to Houston small businesses and by working together we are able to have a shop in the most prestigious mall in Texas. You can visit us in person next to Nordstrom. Or you can go online to www.popupshopgalleria.com and there’s links to our vendor partners. We have clothing from 0-3x, accessories, giftables, and shoes from 5.5-10. Holiday deals are happening now! Plus, we are able to deliver to your home in Houston for only $5. So thanks for shopping small this season. Our small businesses really appreciate your love and support!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Pop Up Shop came from a few of the I Speak Boutique clients looking to expand their businesses into brick and mortar while still maintaining social and digital presences. Our founder, Brooke of I Speak Boutique®, utilized her 25+ years of Fortune 500 Companies retail experience to create the Pop Up Shop. She curated a collection of artists, makers and entrepreneurs for the Pop Up Shop. Our competitive difference is that we artists and makers, work at the Pop Up Shop also— we use our time at the shop to gather important feedback from customers on our creations and the direction of our individual companies. We also are an amazing support group for one another and are constantly helping elevate each of the businesses. Come see us, next to Nordstrom at The Galleria Mall.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love local, so we’d go to all the local spots and support by spending money in their shops, posting on social media and sharing their good works!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to the 187 local to Houston Small Businesses that have been a part of our community! Each of those businesses were able to join, grow, learn and thrive because of our time together.
