We had the good fortune of connecting with Burner Celly and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Burner Celly, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I think that my work is my life. Making music comes with a lot socially, and I feel that there is a lot of crossover between my professional and personal life because of how the industry is. I don’t think there is a balance because I am constantly in both worlds at all times.
What should our readers know about your business?
I always knew I wanted to own a record label and took steps to doing so at an early age. I never cemented the plan but I did buy a domain name and create a website on dreamweaver for it. I tried to look up how to make it a legal entity at the time but I ended up just focusing on other things. Now that I’m older I have more knowledge so I’m working on all of those things. Starting a business definitely has not been easy but the road to ownership will be rewarding in the future. I am still at the beginning of my journey so maybe in a few years I will have more answers for this question.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to out shout out my brother Cameron. He passed away last year and everything that I do is for him and my family. There’s so many people I could shout out here I just want to shout out all my friends and supporters. You know who you are, and I’ve got you, all of you.
