We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Ramses and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think of, risk, especially at a young age as something you need to jump with both feet in because to me there’s no in between or playing it safe at all. And it has been proven many times in this gritty industry that that’s something you need to have. Furthermore that’s why I choose to take as much risk as I can, for good reason, because to me I have nothing to lose but all to gain and I don’t want to wake up decades from now and say, “did I do everything I could in my life in order to get to where I know I can be at?”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If I had to describe my music to others I would say I make high quality music. And what I think what sets me apart is my growing diverse taste in music and also me being able to produce to which I am able to make whatever I hear inside of my head which basically means no limitations. I am very excited but also cautious respectively to the music I am making and on top of that, potential, I have which I don’t really try to fall in content with. Me getting to this point in music was hard due to the fact that I literally sucked but through the years I continually got better and even right now I am improving. I guess by not giving up and, understanding, and falling in love with the process, I think it made me overcome my beginning stumps. Moving on, what I learned from all of it was that things take time but if you want it you can get it. When it’s all said and done I just want to be known for the body of work I’ve created and also inspire others, but more importantly a figure people reach towards because I want to be able to relate to what the majority of what people feel or go through.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For food I would take them to Breakfast Klub because that can never go wrong especially to start the morning, because its more than the food its the atmosphere. Now for late night “hooligan” activities, if im not at Barron Studios recording we’re going to have to go to Kamp Houston because “iykyk.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to Favour Abel for even giving me the chance to do this interview! He’s not all too, I have to give recognition to Barron Studios especially to a certain senior engineer there who goes by, “idreaminstereo”, he’s always been a big help in developing and translating my still developing sound. But also I gotta thank my family and friends for giving me much needed advice when needed.
