We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Jair Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos Jair, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My ultimate goal is to establish and run a successful creative agency that specializes in artist development and brand strategy. I want to work with both emerging and established artists, helping them build their visual identity, digital presence, and creative direction. Having experienced both sides, being a content creator myself and working in digital marketing I understand the unique challenges and opportunities artists face in today’s digital landscape.

I envision my agency being different because of my deep connection to vinyl culture and understanding of how physical media can enhance an artist’s brand in our digital age. I want to help artists create immersive experiences that span both digital and physical realms, from their social media presence to their vinyl releases and merchandise. Through my current collaborations and upcoming musical project, I’m already taking steps toward this dream, building relationships and proving what’s possible when you combine strategic thinking with genuine creativity and passion for music.

At the end of my career, I want to look back and see a legacy of successful campaigns, groundbreaking projects, and artists whose careers flourished through our collaboration. It’s about more than just running an agency, it’s about being a part of music history and helping shape how artists connect with their fans in meaningful ways.

It is not just music, fashion, and art… it’s so much deeper to me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of my proudest achievements is staying true to myself and my creative vision while growing my platform. I’ve never compromised who I am or my artistic approach, even when it meant taking the harder path. I want the world to know that my brand is built on genuine passion, creativity, and community. I’m not just sharing vinyl records I’m creating an experience that combines music, fashion, and storytelling. With some exciting collaborations on the horizon I’m more excited than ever about the future. The challenges and insecurities I’ve overcome have only made me more determined to continue pushing creative boundaries and inspiring others to embrace their unique approach to creating content.

As a Mexican, LGBT creator, I found my path through my deep love for art, music, and fashion. What sets me apart in the vinyl community is how naturally these passions merged into my content, each video becoming a celebration of not just the music, but of personal expression and identity.

The path hasn’t been easy and anyone who knows me can back up how much I struggled to become who I am today, I was tired of people saying that my dreams just were not realistic. I have a bigger drive to prove it to myself that I can accomplish anything I set my mind and heart on.

If you tell yourself you can’t do something then you already lost the battle.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you were visiting me in Houston, I’d create a perfect blend of music, art, culture, and amazing food that shows off what makes this city special!

First stop would have to be Cactus Music! It’s Houston’s iconic record store and a must visit for any vinyl enthusiast. They have an incredible selection, and you might even catch one of their in store performances. We’d also hit up Sound Exchange for more vinyl hunting, especially for those rare finds. After digging through records, we’d probably grab coffee at La la land kind cafe in Montrose and explore the neighborhood’s eclectic mix of vintage shops and art galleries.

For food, we’ve got to experience MAD Houston, the vibe of the restaurant is just to die for!

We’d spend time exploring the Museum District, especially the Museum of Fine Arts and the Contemporary Arts Museum. The Menil Collection is a must! Not just for the art, but for the peaceful atmosphere too. For drinks, we’d definitely hit up The Flat it’s this amazing intimate bar and the records!! I can’t put this place into words, you just have to check it out.

And of course, Montrose, the go to area of any LGBT person.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my partner and family, who provided me endless support as I built my vinyl content and navigated my career path. They never questioned what was going on in my creative space they just accepted it and rolled with it.

Special recognition also goes Teddy Sinclair who has been an incredible mentor and inspiration in my journey. Her artistry, creativity, and fearless approach to music have deeply influenced how I view content creation and artistic expression. She showed me what’s possible when you stay true to your vision and push creative boundaries.

Lastly I’d like to shoutout the vinyl community on social media who’ve supported my unique approach to vinyl collecting and content creation. The encouragement and connections I’ve made through this community have been invaluable, turning what could have been a solitary hobby into a thriving creative outlet.
