We had the good fortune of connecting with Celia Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Celia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a small business requires dedication and sacrifice. There are many risks and self doubts that come with it. Am I good enough? Will people enjoy what I offer? Is this even the path I am trying to take? I’ve always had that little voice letting me know keep pushing, and you will achieve much success, by having faith and believing in yourself. Having the support of my family, and knowing deep down inside it will be my time to shine.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Jazzy’s Gourmet Apples has been a roller coaster. I’m a one person creator that takes pride in every single product. I hold my standards extremely high and want perfection. Is that even possible? With Jazzy’s Gourmet Apples 100% ! Time and dedication, thought process, and executing a vision is what sets me apart. I want my business creating little works of art to be an experience and know that you are getting the best of me. I have taken my passion of my business and transforming it to a Sweet treat food trailer, where you will have the opportunity to come and walk up to my trailer, and be able to purchase a hand crafted treat . I’m ready to take my small business to the next level, I’ve had plenty of time to prepare for this and I’m coming full force.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
My family and I enjoy sight seeing, there is an awesome Japanese garden located in downtown, with beautiful flowers, water ponds, fishes and beautiful scenery. Such a relaxing place to enjoy one’s company. My best friend would be my mom , and this would be the best place to reconnect since she doesn’t live in Texas. A nice walk, people watching, birds chirping, what more can you ask for .
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely the support of my parents, and my little family. My mom is my top supporter. She is always letting me know how talented I am, and reading her messages that she leaves me, I can feel how proud she is of me. We as adults, no matter what age. We are always trying to make our parents proud, and I feel that my parents are. My husband who always helps me and encourages me when I’m running low on fuel, and my 3 daughters telling me that I’m doing a great job. Always gives me that extra push that I need!
