Hi Chelkie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have been blessed with a creative thinking mind, a gift from a higher power, and I am truly grateful for it. The ability to think creatively is something I cannot fully explain, but I cherish it deeply. I am fortunate and thankful to be able to pursue my passion every single day and turn it into a source of income. It is a true blessing to do what I love and find fulfillment in the creative work I am able to create.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a unique florist, I set myself apart with my distinctive style, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. Building a successful floristry business comes with its challenges, but I’ve learned the importance of strong relationships with suppliers, growers, and customers. By understanding my target market and developing reliable partnerships, I can anticipate and fulfill customer demands.

What truly sets me apart is my dedication to making an impact in people’s lives through my passion for flowers. I offer special services like same-day and exclusive after-hour deliveries, which no other floral company provides. I believe in going above and beyond for my clients, showing up on significant days and events with beautiful roses to make them feel special. It’s an original approach that sets me apart from others in the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here’s a sample itinerary for a week-long trip to Houston, focusing on some popular attractions, local eateries, and exciting activities:

Day 1: Shop and Dine in Rice Village
– Explore Rice Village, a trendy shopping district filled with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.
– Pamper yourself at Escape a luxury rich experience for a relaxing spa day.

Day 2: Houston Sporting Experience
– Attend a Houston sports event, such as a Houston Rockets basketball game at the Toyota Center or a Houston Astros baseball game at Minute Maid Park.
– Before the game, grab a pre-game meal at Taste Bar and kitchen for a mouthwatering southern meal.
– After the game, celebrate at one of Houston’s hot spots like Joeys Uptown or Z on 23 Rooftop (downtown)

My grandmother has played a significant role in shaping my career and life journey. She instilled in me the values of strength and independence, always encouraging me to never give up on my dreams. Her support and belief in me have been instrumental in my pursuit of success. Moreover, my children are my ultimate motivation. I am determined to provide them with a brighter future, surpassing the opportunities I had coming up. They inspire me to work harder, dream bigger, and create a better life for them.
