We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Cade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was always thankful for every 9-5 job I worked because it helped me to have financial stability but also learn to work with people. The only downside was that they never aligned with my passion as a creative artist. I knew I would have to create my own business to have both financial stability and share my love of creativity and art to the world.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So as an artist, I wear many hats: producing, acting, videography, rapping, etc. I believe what sets me apart is that I am able to do these things but with my own style. I used to be someone who tried to reformat their art style to fit in but now I keep it authentic because something new is needed. The process to get where I am has not been easy. I was trying to build things without a foundation but quickly learned that you can quickly build a house, but without a strong foundation, it will quickly come down. Building the foundation has taken me years but it as also built my confidence. My biggest thing I want the world to know is that God is real and He wants to get to know everyone on a personal level. Everything I do is for Him and I don’t want people to see religion. I want people to see that it’s about relationship.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So the first day they arrived we would have to get brunch at Dish Society. They’re chicken and biscuits are amazing. Then we would check out one of the many museums. My favorite is the art museum but I would definitely love to go to any of the others. After that we would go and relax at the pool or another restaurant if we were hungry later in the day. I would have to top the night off with the Cidercade or Main Event. Throughout the weekend this would be the schedule and I would trade out the events with a movie, the gym or going to a professional sports game.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t have any of my success if it wasn’t for God! Being a Christian truly helped me to have a vision and stay diligent in my work. Also I have to shoutout my parents. My dad is a music artist by the name of WyzeMan. He helped me to grow my skill as Chris vs. The World such as recording, rapping, etc. My mom has always supported me emotionally and has always kept me accountable in the things I do. Having God, both my parents and my sisters has made made me who I am today.
