We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrissy Bernal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrissy, what do you attribute your success to?
There are two important factors in my control that continue to lead to success: clarity and mindset
When I finally gained clarity on my vision, my message, and my offer, everything else fell into place. Additionally, mastering my mindset allowed me to stop operating under a desperation mindset.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After accidentally ending up in the global spotlight for my unique identical twins, I was forced to create & grow a brand on the fly. I knew we needed to harness the power of the publicity they were getting. Fast forward 15 years, and now by combining my formal education with the real-world knowledge gained from my family’s growth toward global brand awareness, I have a deep understanding of how to help brands clearly communicate their stories, increase their influence & reduce the chaos experienced in the journey of being known.
While I work with men and women, I’m particularly passionate about working with women because statistics show that female entrepreneurs make much less than their male counterparts make.
I know from my own experience that particular events in my life caused me to lose sight of my worth, and I have heard the same thing from other women. I believe that lack of embracing one’s worth could be a reason why someone makes less than they should.
I have had so many wonderful coaches and mentors over the years; I wish I would have found them earlier in my career. It would have saved me a lot of headaches and lost income.
I remember always feeling so jumbled and constantly operating from a desperation mindset. Now that I’m clear about who I am, what I’m passionate about, and what difference I want to make, I feel so much more focused.
And I want to help other women feel the same way.
I believe women should embrace their worth and confidently pursue the success they desire, so I guide them through proven frameworks for Branding, Marketing and Communication and use strategic PR to help them increase their audience and improve their influence with intention and less stress.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love living in the Houston area. We have things to do for someone who likes the hustle and bustle of the city or the relaxed flow of country living. I love to eat, so I would definitely take a visiting friend to several of our amazing restaurants. One week isn’t enough to visit them all. Some of the places I would take them would be The Whistle Stop Cafe in Tomball, The Spanish Flower on Main in Houston, Lupe Tortilla, and Goodson’s Cafe. We’d also have to make sure we stopped by The Empty Glass in Tomball and Sportin’ Woodies, a local sports bar.
We’d certainly visit at least one of our various museums as well as the Miller Outdoor Theatre.
And, if the weather permits, we’d go fishing at a local watering hole and go for a hike.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One of the biggest group of people who have contributed to my success is the H2H group. (Human 2 Human) I’ve learned so much about bringing human aspects into marketing and messaging and tools for mastering my mindset.
