We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian French and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
It’s more than one thing that outsiders are probably unaware of in the party rental business but I can find one and I think it’s honestly the time we put into cleaning and making sure everything is perfect before it’s dropped off. Me and my wife take our time and also have a process we follow to make sure everyone one is safe from one customer to the next especially with the hard times of Covid-19.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It was hard work getting to where I am today I started my own business back in 2017 I was about 19 I had the vision but no business plan making bounce house delivery’s out of a Honda Accord some people supported me others told me not to do it and sell that stuff and do something else so I did sell but not because of what they told me but because I wasn’t in a position to start my own business I had just had my first child moving from job to job and almost facing eviction so I told myself I’m going to sell my business but one day I’ll be back. Fast forward to 2021 here I am doing better in life with a major revamped business plan and ready to start my business again so I did. I got me truck a trailer and some bounce houses but it didn’t stop there within weeks after buying my first bounce house I turned around to notice I had four more tables and chairs and a tent my inventory has grown a lot since then and we plan to keep growing. Through my process I learned to not let anyone get in the way of something you want to do because it’s your life and just because you see some dark days doesn’t mean they won’t get better. I want people to know that starting a business isn’t easy I’ve put blood sweat and tears into my business and sometimes I still feel like it isn’t enough but my customers also make me feel other wise.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting I would probably start with a food truck park because who doesn’t love to eat and I’m pretty sure after a long drive, flight, or ride they’ll be hungry and Houston’s food trucks are something no one should have to miss out on. Houston isn’t the only place for fun and scenery so I would probably also take my best friend to the Texas City Dike it’s peaceful and away from the city so you won’t really hear loud noise or lots of cars just the birds and relaxing sound of water. I would also probably take my best friend to Kemah, Texas to go to the boardwalk there’s great places to eat and also cannot forget about the exciting rides. And for the weekend, I would take my best friend to enjoy Houston’s brunch and party life at places like Kamp Houston. And at night show him the fast and creative cars houston has to offer. And then on Sunday, end it at MacGregor park watching all the slabs with the candy paint and swangers ride by.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to My Wife Jessica, DGK Houston, Both my mother and father in law, and also last but not least my mother
