We had the good fortune of connecting with Colette Davenport and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Colette, how does your business help the community?

As an authority on inner beauty for influential women, I founded Divinity & Co. to provide luxury soul-liberating experiences for icons who feel trapped by their public image. I work with high profile women who have it all, but lack a sense of inner peace and true happiness. Which can show up in different ways, such as disconnection in relationships, with their audience, or difficulties in business.  But the deeper theme that my work solves is disconnection with their Higher Self.

When you discover and embody your divinity you organically connect with others which causes a transformative impact, creating a ripple effect of positivity, empowerment, and love in the world. Together, we can leave a lasting legacy of inspiration and hope.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

As influential women, we are reclaiming our inherent power and leadership roles. But we’ve been unconsciously conditioned for generations to present a ‘proper persona’ and we think that’s who we are. We place our value on that persona, improving it, promoting it, fighting with it, and we never truly realize our inner beauty is our greatest power. Inner beauty is the result of self-realization. In my world, that means knowing, loving and expressing your true self, your divinity.

So how do we do that? Through divine activation. The women I work with need something deep, soul satisfying, and sustainable in their high-profile lives.

Divine activation is like finding a hidden treasure within, a relieving realization that you possess a unique connection to something greater than yourself. It’s a deep sense of awe, empowerment, and interconnectedness with the universe, as if all the pieces of your existence suddenly click into place, and reveal the profound purpose and significance to your entire life, and your whole being.

In a recent sabbatical, I assimilated everything I’ve learned from 25 years of client work, my study of ancient wisdom traditions, and the direct divine guidance I receive. What was born from that is the world’s only couture Metaphysical Makeover that activates your divinity and liberates your soul.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

While I’ve been in Austin for almost 30 years now, I lived one glorious year right off Shepherd and Fairview. It was the sweet spot between the upscale shops in River Oaks and the quaint coffee shops in Montrose. That’s how I like it, the blend of both worlds.

So we’d start with a slog at Memorial Park because I don’t run fast these days. Then we’d have lunch at Brasserie 19 followed by some shopping on West Gray. Another day we’d get that booty burn workout at The Bar Method on Westheimer Rd. before spending a few hours at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and checking out a gallery or two in the district.

I would treat my friend to some amazing seafood at Liberty Kitchen and Oysterette in River Oaks and then maybe splurge at one of the high-end shops in the area.

We’d also have to take a little trip over to see my friend, Chris Cusack, who owns Betelgeuse Betelgeuse, a neighborhood cocktail bar and pizza place located in Old Sixth Ward.

Amidst the adventure, we’d be entertaining at home, since that is my favorite thing to do. So having a Trader Joe’s, Central Market, and the city’s award-winning HEB nearby are big wins for the foodie.

Last but not least, we’d belly up to the bar at Eugene’s which is just a couple blocks walk, in the neighborhood, and has the best dang happy hour I’ve ever seen!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am beyond blessed to be surrounded by incredible women. Most of whom are visionary entrepreneurs who are positively impacting the lives of all the people they encounter. The thing that we have in common is our connection to something greater. I call that “God”, and for me, that’s who I give all the credit to.
