Meet Collin Kurio | Music Artist and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Collin Kurio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Collin, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
It’s the only thing that felt real enough. The ability to create endlessly, to anything of my liking, is a great feeling. It’s a breathe of fresh air, it’s freedom. I can make anything I want, whenever I want. Then when you get two creative or artistic people together the vibes just go off the charts. Now there’s magic in the room.

What should our readers know about your business?
So I am one of the owners of TikiCam Productions. To keep it short, we specialize in Advertising and Content Creation for businesses and people. We recognized a common theme – people had great ideas, passions, and plans, yet not everyone knows how to sell themselves and their brand. So that became a part of our attack – helping brands reach their maximum potential and growing ours simultaneously. I am a firm believer that teamwork makes the dream work. Fail together. Fail now, and fail again, until you redefine your systems to be the most efficient possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would for sure go out on Lake Travis a couple times. We are big fans of watersports such as surfing, wakeskating, and wakeboarding. “Full Send” is most definitely in our vocabulary. The night scene here in Austin is always worth checking out. Tons of fun places to dance and drink. Austin is a large city but somehow you always run into someone you know. Another must see spot would be Zilker Park. Nothing better than laying out in the sun and listening to good music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off, shoutout to God and The Universe for consistently presenting me with obstacles that I am able to navigate through to help me persevere into the person I am suppose to be. It is often we find ourselves in “low places” of negativity & doubt. To achieve the dreams you have imagined for yourself you have to start with yourself, you have to know yourself. Take two weeks away from social media and friends and really dive deep into who you are. Once you can learn to accommodate for yourself & love yourself, it is difficult for outside forces to affect you.
