We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corey, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Being inspired by so many barbers and stylist around the world. Wanting to be my own boss and have a shop of my character. Appealing to all demographics of Men and young boys. Being around different barbers I was able to adapt a piece from everyone and include my one niche to it. Bring a Barber is one the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life, snd honestly I’m just getting started.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Always trying to improve my skills so I’m always learning new methods and skills. Being a Barber isn’t a job it’s what I love to do so everyday it’s a new project I’m designing. I encourage anyone who wants to be self employed to don’t doubt yourself. Hard work and dedication are the keys and tools to success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would eat Los Manicitas (FairField) Mexican cuisine with great Maragitas
Hangout spots would be downtown Houston enjoy nice music and great drinks.
Mattress Mac loves the people.
Plenty art museums in the city
Great wine spots snd all around great vibes
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To any barber or stylist. The most important thing is to never give up and keep going. Don’t be afraid to try something different. Stay consistent and perfect the art of customer service. And salute to any and everyone out there doing there thizzle and love what they do.
