We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Richard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Houston, Texas. I was raised by a strong grandmother who taught me to never depend on others. I am successful because she made sure we understood that working hard and getting an education will take you where ever you want to go in life. Because of my grandmother I am very independent and disciplined and it shows in the way I run my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is C Rich Entertainment, I started it almost 10yrs ago. I attended an industry mixer years ago and that night I met the late Houston great Wickett Crickett and it was then that I knew i wanted to work in the music business. I didn’t have a car in the beginning so I used to walk or ride the bus to events, I would tell myself no excuses. Throughout the years I have learned that you definitely need soft skills and strong work ethic. I want the world to know that C Rich Entertainment will be the company of the future, not just in music but in all of entertainment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anyone that comes to my city Houston, I always take them to eat at Frenchy’s for their wonderful chicken and Burn’s BBQ. Going visit the screw shop and the Galleria mall is also a must see.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my city of Houston because there is no place else like it on Earth. I also want to shoutout my children they are the reason i work so hard, and Shoutout to my music industry friends Damon Shields and Diamond
