We had the good fortune of connecting with Craig Pruitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Craig, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
It’s easy to give up or quit, but to hang in there when things not going your way take courage.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a music producer. I live in Houston TX but I’m originally from Reston Virginia. I have been playing the piano for six years now. Love what I do. Back in 2018 I won producer of the year, even was on a label at one point and time. Music is my passion when I’m down or even happy I can always turn to my music. Everyone at some point and time have been faced with some type of challenges. Back in 2011 my dad passed that really broke me over the years I just wanted to make my dad smile within my music. When I’m writing a song I put my heart into it I’m not faking for anyone. If you are not honest and true then your fans won’t really support you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have two best friends we been cool since middle school. We are like brothers. If they was not from Houston I would say you have to go to the Turkey leg hut, tase bar kitchen, Phil and Derek, and the galleria mall. Who knows you just might see a celebrity in the mall. We would stay at the Royal Sonesta it’s a hotel in the galleria area. I would roll out the red carpet for them because they are like family. I mean that for my heart.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
On this journey it’s been hard. There has been plenty of no’s but I did not allow that to stop me. I kept on working on my craft kept getting better. Have to prove everyone wrong. My family and friends have been a big support System to me.
