We had the good fortune of connecting with Crucy Boucicaut and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crucy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My Thought process was knowing i will no longer be working for someone else anymore,I will be doing something I really enjoy and have a passion for.

What should our readers know about your business?
hmm where can i start…becoming a business owner is not as easy as it may seem. but if it’s something you love, enjoy and have a passion for then it becomes a hobby where you not only do it for the money it basically becomes an enjoyment. I can honestly tell you Covid got me here! From working a 9-5 to having a 24hr has been a blessing (not saying working 9-5 is wrong). I first started off selling waist trainers back home in Miami with my first stimulus check I made $4000. I got the hang of things and kept going while I was still working my 9-5. I had weeks where I didn’t make any sales and it became very depressing and stressful. Just imagine buying inventory that’s just sitting there. coming from a city like Miami that’s big when it comes to the “BODY” you have to go very hard. That same year i decided to enhance some parts of my body where i felt a little insecure about after going thru that journey i felt like i was ready to help other woman out thru their journey i knew what it felt like(how can you tell someone about something you never been thru) so i took a training on body sculpting and post op massages added those services to my business .after 3-4 months of going thru depression and personal problems i decided i wanted to move to houston tx in june for a fresh start(the move i manifested in 2019) not knowing how my business will do my plan was to go back to a 9-5. when i got here i promoted myself spent almost $3000 in two months on marketing. my 2nd post-op clients here was a Youtuber therealkianajay i got her prepared for her surgery with products (fajas, waistbelts and waist trainers) from my brand when i find out she was having surgery. her whole after surgery post-op stage was with Curved & Bodied from products to massages meeting this young lady was a blessing i can honestly say i started having supporters and followers from all over coming from that everything been up! . I had to learn no matter how hard it may seem NEVER GIVE UP continue to promote yourself you are your BRAND. Your biggest supporters will never be people who know you. Put your all to it if you really want it. i am now looking forward to expand my business Train other individuals how to make 6 figure in this Beauty body industry show the ones who don’t know where to start how to start……..i am my brand CURVED & BODIED

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would do more like a day party vibe where you basically get a good vibe, great food with music something more like Kamp or address and enjoy the night life at a Nigerian hookah lounge, I am Haitian, so the music and vibe blend in with my culture.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I would like to give credit to a great friend more like family Marva Louis (the owner of Glowbymarva) for all the mentorship and encouragement from my business registration process up until now. Not only was she my mentor she supported and always was open and available as my model on stressful shoots. I also want to thank Joniero Jacques for believing in me and helping me bring my dream to reality.
