We had the good fortune of connecting with Curtis Simpson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Curtis, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As a US Army combat veteran, Actor and Author I’ve learned that taking risks is an inherent part of both military service and life. In the Army, we often had to make quick decisions under pressure, weighing the potential dangers against the mission’s importance. This experience taught me the value of calculated risk-taking, where thorough assessment and preparation are key.

In my career and personal life, taking risks has been crucial for growth and success. Whether it’s pursuing new opportunities, embracing risk has pushed me out of my comfort zone, enabling me to develop resilience and adaptability. The military instilled in me the understanding that without risk, there can be no reward, and it’s this mindset that continues to drive my some
of decisions today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a military combat veteran who had the honor of saving the lives of fifteen people in Iraq in 2004, my career has been a journey of resilience, transformation, and passion. After my military service, I transitioned into acting and have had the privilege of appearing on national TV, as well as writing a book about my experiences.

What sets me apart from others is the unique blend of my military background and my creative pursuits. The discipline, courage, and quick decision-making skills I developed in the Army have profoundly influenced my acting career. These experiences have given me a depth of character and authenticity that I bring to every role I play.

I am most proud of the lives I saved in Iraq and the impact I’ve been able to make through my book and acting. Sharing my story has allowed me to connect with people on a deep level, inspiring others who might be facing their own battles.

Getting to where I am today professionally was far from easy. The transition from military to civilian life, and then into the entertainment industry, was filled with challenges. I faced self-doubt, the struggle to find my place, and the need to constantly prove myself in a new field. However, I overcame these challenges through perseverance, the support of my loved ones, and an unwavering belief in my purpose.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of resilience, the power of storytelling, and the value of staying true to oneself. My military service taught me that no obstacle is insurmountable, and my journey in the entertainment industry has reinforced that belief.

I want the world to know that my brand and story are about transformation, courage, and the pursuit of one’s passions. Whether on the battlefield or on the screen, I strive to make a difference and inspire others to overcome their own challenges. My story is a testament to the power of determination and the incredible potential within each of us to achieve our dreams.
