We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I view risks are opportunities in which I can respond to that unveil the strengths I have within. I believe we often don’t know the abilities we have until we make a conscious decision to choose a path in which we do not know the expected outcome.
My faith has given me the boldness to respond to risky opportunities with a knowing that despite the outcome, it will all work out for my good. I believe success has benefits as well as the moments when the plan doesn’t work out as expected. I’ve learned when taking a risk and the outcome is opposite of what was expected, to view it is an opportunity to learn and grow.
Life is a journey full of possibilities but they remain only possibilities without taking risks.
What should our readers know about your business?
It’s amazing how every moment and every experience is used for the overall plan for our lives. I didn’t know that my occupation would play a part in equipping me to one day own my own business but it has. As an Instructional Designer, I use the expertise to carefully observe and consider how individuals learn and create materials and methods that will be most effective in helping them achieve their goals. I use the knowledge gained in Instructional Design to create, design, and deliver Christian educational learning tools. It was a delight to work many years as a Senior Instructional Designer for one of Houston’s largest hospitals systems and I am over joyed about using the wisdom and knowledge gained over the years, to now help women transition into more fulfilled lives.
Deeper with Danielle Institute offers live and prerecorded courses for women to grow learn, be encouraged, and experience positive transformation to complete God-given goals. I am proud to be used to help women see the greatness that lies within them to confidently pursue the plans for their lives.
After discovering my true identity and breaking barriers that prevented me from fulfilling plans, it became a desire for me to teach other women what has helped me conqueror goals and experience the joy and fulfillment in life that comes along with it. When we know the assignments we should pursue, we can clearly see where our focus and energy should be.
The journey of me understanding who I was wasn’t easy. It took a lot of reflection and God’s help. After reading one of my favorite books, Switch on Your Brain, I received the knowledge to attack self defeating thoughts and pursue what I thought was impossible for me to do. I learned that the only thing that can really stop me, is ME!
Here is what I learned on the journey of discovering Me and confidently doing what I believe I was made to do which is to help other women live more fulfilled lives:
1. I’ve learned that life is truly a journey full of joy and disappointments and in each moment gain the wisdom and knowledge that will help with e next assignment in life.
2. I’ve learned to remind myself of who I am despite what I may feel. Feelings don’t dictate my true identity.
3. I’ve learned to live life displaying love that will be a benefit to the lives of others. This is where the true reward of living comes from, a life devoted to helping others.
4. I’ve learned to laugh and enjoy life.
5. I’ve learned that in someway, all things truly do work out for my good.
6. I’ve learned to give away (the wisdom and knowledge) that I have gained in life to help benefit the life of someone else
I want women to know that there is a place (Deeper with Danielle Institute) where they can express their doubts without judgement and receive understanding, wisdom and insight on practical steps of execution to complete goals.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to the museum district which would definitely consume one week. I sure can’t miss taking them to Discover green for any activities going on that week. Jazz on Sundays at Discover Green would be a must for us. For dinner I would take them to Willie G’s and Steak 48. Of course, I would also have to take them to the Galleria for shopping!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, this question is quite challenging because there are soo many people who have supported my journey of success. If I had to acknowledge one person, it would be my husband Sean Brown. He has placed my desires and ambitions above his own. He has been my collaborative partner every step of the way in creating Deeper with Danielle Institute. He has encouraged me and repeatedly reminded me of the great future that is in store for me. I would not be doing what I am currently doing without his help, love and encouragement.
