We had the good fortune of connecting with Denice Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denice, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
One of the reason I pursued an artistic and creative career is because I understand my personality.. I know who I am and who I am purposed to be. One of my greatest attributes is my personality. I would always be the one creating good energy in the room and suddenly, we end with laughs!

People started asking me questions pertaining to the entertainment business like have I tried modeling or going on audition. Those were little settled confirmations for me..

I’ve alway wanted to try modeling so I started taking pictures and saw the spark in my eye, that led me to pursue the entertainment business as to where I am today.

Denice R. Smith; also known as Denice Noir,

I am an American model, actress and Producer. I’ve displayed my Modeling talent for five consecutive years on showcases such as RIP the Runway, which aired on BET in New York City.

But I also have a passion for acting and modeling which inspired me to move to become a New York resident; where in addition to being continually involved in magazine shoots and fashion runways, I also landed a brief role in the popular television series: Law & Order.

I was born in Louisiana but raised in Houston Texas and was blessed with a naturally athletic physique and a fiery spirit ready to face the camera lens. After receiving a Scholarship from Grambling State University, after three years, I swiftly moved to New York City. This move to the fashion and entertainment capital, it jump-started my career! It was a beautiful experience coming to a place that I’ve never been before but Life in New York wasn’t always easy though, for a time; I became homeless but possessed a willingness to keep going and follow her dreams. In 2010, I decided to move to LA to find my Calling. During this time, creativity took over and I created various TV Series such as “The Real Hollywood Grind” that Will show you the ins and outs and what it takes to make it in Hollywood from the good the bad and the ugly .. and “Blocks.” Blocks is a an episodic Series that will highlight the talented kids in Track & Field, creating kid bosses and kid leaders . Keeping kids off the street is the goal !

Things are evolving and changing at a great pace!
In 2016, I found myself in a relationship that suddenly became abusive after only six months of dating. The impact of the relationship took a great toll on my life. I lost everything all over again and was back at phase one and ready to revamp my mind, body, spirit and career.

After moving back to Texas, with support and love from family and friends I became empowered and began to heal from within, gaining back that strength and zest to cultivate greatness.

Recently I aired on the hit TV Series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network, “Ready to Love”. thankful for the opportunity! Lighthearted Production and will packer four giving me the opportunity, I sure can not only display the knowledge and skill that I have has gained but also unleash my true potential. I currently resides in Houston, Texas where I am successfully networking with different parts of the world and successfully expanding my brand. The best is yet to come .

I am look forward to having multiple TV shows on the big screen and displaying my acting And creative talent on and off the camera!!
The Sky is the limit

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I have friends that come in town and want a night out, I would definitely take them to A place called 5015, It is a nice lounge sports bar with great music and food.. And for dinner ,I would take them to Joeys uptown in the galleria ,one of my favorite places to dine!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give recognition and credit to my Biggest supporters, My Sister that’s covering me from Heaven my Team / Friends and Family.. They have all been my biggest supporters through my journey..
