We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Dominique Spigner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Dominique, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is “Become an expert in what you believe.” – unknown
This is a quote that I firmly live by and obey. I am very passionate about the field of social work and the helping profession. I believe that we should aim to become an expert in what we believe and strive to become one of the most knowledgeable in our field of practice.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the area and wanted to show her a good time, I would take her to the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas. We both are very hard workers; therefore, my idea of a good time is to find ways to incorporate self-care into my schedule. I would book us a spa day at the Post Oak Hotel hotel as a way to relax and unwind. I have been eager to visit the Turkey Leg Hut in Houston, Texas, and would add that to the itinerary as well. We love trying out new foods, and this place is on our bucket list. Last but not least, we would make a trip to the Houston Galleria for some retail therapy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want first to thank God for everything in my life. Without him, I would not be where I am today. I also want to thank my beloved late grandmother, Mattie Ross, for pouring into me at such a young age. Additionally, I want to thank my mentors, family and friends who supported and encouraged me while on this journey. Words cannot describe what you mean to me.
