Meet Dr. Faith Wilson | Chiropractor and Clinic Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Faith Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Faith, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I wanted to have my own clinic since I started chiropractic school. I went through school with the goal to open as soon as I graduated, but God had other plans and I ended up taking an associate position with the doctor I interned with. I spent 3 years as an associate doctor, working for 2 different clinics, learning how I wanted to run my business. I learned things I wanted to incorporate, and things I didn’t. The biggest factor in starting my own business is that I wanted to treat my patients in the best possible way for their healing. When I was working for another clinic I felt like I had to treat my patients how they wanted, how to fit their business model, and I honestly felt like I was doing some of my patients an injustice. Now that I have my own clinic I am free to help my patients in my own way. I can bill what I want to bill, I can offer different treatment options, I can make super tailored plans to fit my patients needs. It is great, now my patients come first.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Starting Delta Chiropractic and Wellness was not easy, and my husband had to constantly remind me that if starting a company was easy then everyone would do it. I overcame funding issues and had to apply to multiple banks to get my loan. I had a tough time finding a place to rent, but eventually found an amazing couple to rent space from. I felt like it was a fight almost every step of the way but I pushed through. I leaned on my family and friends for support, and my husband was my lifeline, I don’t know if I would be sitting in my clinic today if it wasn’t for his support.
Delta Chiropractic and Wellness is a family-based chiropractic clinic. We offer very detailed and thorough evaluations and treatments to get you living your best life. I have an in-house x-ray unit that allows me to see and show my patients exactly what is going on. I do more than just look at x-rays, I evaluate them on my TV with my patient in the room so that they can see exactly what I will work on correcting to help their problems.
I offer spinal manipulations (adjustments), extra-spinal manipulations (extremity adjustments), spinal decompression, rehab therapy, and trigger point therapy. Each service has its own specific area/goal to target to help my patients.
Fun Fact: Delta Chiropractic and Wellness is named after my dog, Delta. She is a 8 year old black lab, and my baby.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Webster/League City area, and we are assuming that money isn’t an issue!
Of course we would have to go to Kemah Boardwalk, walk around and maybe ride a couple rides. We would go to Cool Cow Creamery for ice cream.

We would go see the longhorns at The Longhorn Project at Nasa. An amazing non-profit organization that does tours and education about longhorns.
The Houston Zoo depending on the time of year, and a walk around Hermann Park (my favorite park)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to Dr. Jamie Marshall. I did my internship with Dr. Marshall and I learned a lot from her. I still call her to talk about patient diagnosis and treatment options. She is an amazing chiropractor and an amazing woman. I still have much to learn and I know that no matter what I need she is just a phone call away.
