We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Jeanette Goodwill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Jeanette, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing outsiders are unaware of is newborns and infants can also get an adjustment. The adjustment can help with ear infections, torticollis, colic, constipation, asthma, ADHD, meeting milestones, and much more.

What should our readers know about your business?
Inner Peace Chiropractic is a wellness practice that provides care to individuals and families with a focus on pregnant mamas and kiddos. A few things that sets me apart from others is that I’m Webster Technique Certified (adjusting pregnant women), have extensive training with International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Activator Protocol Certification, affiliated with Spinning Babies, and use the state of the art technology, CLA Insight, which is a neurospinal analysis. I’m most excited about being able to serve my community. Being able to empower them and elevate their health. Honestly, I took a leap of faith, opened up my office while still working for someone else. It was not easy because I had to work around my already 9-5 schedule, so I would treat practice members before work, during my lunch break, and after work to build my practice. It wasn’t easy. Prayer and support definitely helped me overcome obstacles. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is “You can only get someone as clear as you.” Basically meaning I need to be aligned to be a better healing facilitator. One thing I want the world to know is my office is a safe space. My practice is not for everyone, but it is for anyone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Brass Tacks located in EADO or east downtown, is one of my favorite coffee shops and they have great breakfast tacos. The atmosphere is great to hang out and you will be surrounded by plants on the inside. Ray’s BBQ Shack located 5 minutes from TSU and U of H is the best in town! If you’re looking for a vegetarian spot, try the beyond burger from Sunshine’s Health Food Store and Vegetarian Deli. Some fun places to go are the FOMO Factory, escape room, the main event, and the outdoor movie theater.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout-out to the Bay Area Community Birth Center for the amazing service they provide to expectant mothers and the community.
