Meet Dr. Saiqa Khan, MD, FACS

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Saiqa Khan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Saiqa, what do you attribute your success to?
Love and soul-aligned service. We are serving with our heart and our hands and we believe that we are carrying out our soul-purpose in empowering our patients and clients, and liberating them from insecurities which previously held them back. Our intention is to uplift the spirit, boost confidence, and support each individual on their personal empowerment journey. We see every patient interaction as an opportunity to deeply listen, hold space, and serve with love and empathy. This is the foundation behind the years of surgical experience, refined techniques, and artistry in combination with cutting edge technology and the future of surgical equipment.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a sculptor and artist.
It has not been easy to get to where I am today. It takes an incredibly supportive team of friends and family, as well as generous mentors and teachers. More so, it takes vision, fortitude, and unshakable belief in oneself. Self-awareness and personal growth and evolution are critically important. Maintaining flexibility and adaptability is also vital. Being willing to redefine yourself, discover a new identity, surrender over and over again, and practice deep empathy and unconditional love for those you serve.
I developed a 5-step framework that has helped me navigate the challenges of having a child with an extremely rare genetic syndrome. This has helped me tremendously and is something I refer back to every day. I have a dedicated routine and approach to centering and grounding myself prior to procedures in order to spiritually serve and achieve the desired results of every level for the patient – physical, emotional, mental, psychological.
At Empowered Plastic Surgery, we serve with both our heart and hands—guided by the belief that true beauty radiates from within. Our mission is to help women reclaim their confidence, uplift their spirit, and embrace the fullest expression of themselves.
Every patient interaction is a unique opportunity to offer love, presence, and expert care. Rooted in soul-aligned purpose, we are honored to share our surgical artistry in a way that not only enhances external beauty but also awakens the inner radiance that leads to a life of joy, freedom, and empowerment.
We don’t just transform appearances—we help liberate women from the limitations they’ve outgrown, so they can rise with confidence into whom they were always meant to be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Easter Seals of Greater Houston is something everyone should be familiar with. They are game changers.
I would take them to museums and beautiful areas outdoors in nature.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My daughter, Remy. When I was pregnant with Remy, we had no idea that she was going to have unique challenges. Once I had my daughter who was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic syndrome, and the only one in the world with her constellation of symptoms, my purpose expanded as I became more adaptable and flexible in how I viewed myself, my career, and my relationships. I was forced to create flexibility in my schedule. I was forced to create more cognitive space to think, reflect, and problem solve. I was forced to answer the questions regarding my daughter’s care that seemed unanswerable. More importantly, I understood that there is only one person in the world who can be Remy’s mom, and that’s me. I believe Remy chose my husband and me for specific reasons, and now I also know for a fact that she is here to teach us all so much. I am here to be her messenger.
Once I surrendered to the reality of my new life, I redefined my values and priorities and committed to living in alignment with my new set of values and priorities. My child taught me what unconditional love looks like. She broke my heart open.
Since Remy is nonverbal, I learned how to attune to her, connect to her nervous system, and deeply empathize in order to know what she needs. I have applied this skill set to my practice — I am able to attune to my patients and have a far greater depth of empathy than I’ve ever had. This has helped me contribute to my patients emotional and mental transformation, beyond the physical transformation that comes with plastic surgery.
