We had the good fortune of connecting with Edward And Jody Revak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edward and Jody, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The City of La Porte has been in need of more food venues for quite some time. When we moved here it was obvious that we needed to do something to help the community and Main Street.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our background in art is about food and wine. We have been active our whole lives in the pursuit of fine food and dining experiences. These experiences have been worldwide with travel to several counties, seeing wineries and dining on regional foods.
Ed’s background in wine is 40 years long and he is a certified specialist of wine. He has a degree in food service managing and spent 20 years working in restaurants. Ed has been cooking for family and friends for 40 years and is extremely creative
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Besides eating at Ed’s Bistro and my home, I would take them to Galveston. The beach is nice, and the water park is fabulous. I would also go to an Astros game,
I would go to Merlion to eat as well
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our Shoutout goes to the Revak family (Lynn and Shan). they were instrumental in bringing us to Texas and creating the effort that we are now working on.
