Meet Elizabeth White | Mental Health Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I have seen patterns of fear around receiving therapy, the idea that something has to be very wrong if you are going to counseling or have a therapist. This idea could not be farther from the truth, therapy can help with so many things from stress management or parent coaching to working through grief and pain. If I can work toward reducing the stigma around receiving therapy more people will get help, learn better coping and distress tolerance skills and improve relationships. Going to therapy IS empowering! I started my private practice, EverWell Counseling, to provide mental health counseling services, our mission is to eliminate the stigma attached to receiving mental health care by creating a safe space for therapy to be empowering. Todays world is so stressful and painful, I hope we can start healing together and increase compassion and kindness within our community through therapy. Proving that I can be a successful female business owner is another important aspect of the success of my brand. I want to show my daughter that she can do anything she puts her mind to, she can make a life around her passion, while being compassionate, kind and empathetic. My passion is helping people and I have found an avenue to do that by providing accessible mental health care centered around providing a safe, empathetic environment for others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of my licensure, it was not easy. Attending 7 years of school and 2 years of post graduate internship at times felt impossible. On my journey to becoming a fully licensed mental health professional I had to learn how to cope with my own stressors, explore how my childhood impacted my world view today and juggle school, work, internship hours and my relationship. I learned so many things along the way that have helped with my practice. Finishing my masters degree in COVID world was challenging, it taught me that boundaries are so important and consistent self care will truly make a huge difference on your mental well being. I want people to know that my practice and philosophy has been shaped by real life experiences and is led with a huge compassionate heart. I am most excited about the future, I am in such a special position to be able to help so many people. I have dreams to provide support, resources and safe space to the community and providing therapy is one step toward that.
