We had the good fortune of connecting with Emiley Lane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emiley, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in California, and from the moment I moved away, I always felt this strong pull to return. There was something about the energy of that place that resonated with me deeply. As a young girl, I created a bucket list with goals I wanted to achieve, and one of those goals was to eventually move back to California and pursue a career as a model. I didn’t have much support at first, so I took it upon myself to start modeling independently. Through hard work, persistence, and dedication, I was able to turn those dreams into reality. Every opportunity I get in the industry feels like a step closer to the vision I had when I was younger, and I continue to pursue this career not just for professional success, but to honor that little version of me who believed it was possible. My upbringing, while it didn’t directly shape my career path, instilled in me the drive to follow my passions and never give up on the dreams I wrote down all those years ago.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey as a model has been one of hard work, persistence, and constant growth. I started from nothing, with just a passion and a dream to make it in the industry. Early on, I took part in several unpaid shoots, simply to build my portfolio and get my foot in the door. At the time, it wasn’t easy, but I knew it was necessary to gain experience and exposure. I was dedicated to traveling to bigger cities for photoshoots and set work, even when the odds seemed stacked against me.
As time went on, the hard work began to pay off. I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, especially now that I’m able to do what I love professionally and get paid for it. Every shoot, every project, is a testament to the hours of effort and perseverance I’ve invested. What sets me apart is my relentless drive to continually push myself. Along with my work ethic. As I am a college student and started off by working two jobs with barely any down time to squeeze in homework along with modeling. But as time progressed I’ve been able to support myself through modeling.
What I want the world to know about me is that I’m more than just a model—I’m someone who understands the value of hard work and determination. My brand is about perseverance, authenticity, and never giving up on your dreams, no matter the obstacles. I’m incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come, and excited to see where this journey takes me next.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d start the week by taking them to my favorite coffee shop “sweet Eugene’s” and show them around the area then head to a shopping square with amazing boutiques and a café serving the best avocado toast. We’d spend the day shopping and exploring, then finishing off with a late night drive through town
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely dedicate my shoutout to my family, as their unwavering support has been a huge part of my journey. My parents being very supportive, showing up to fashion shows and events, always encouraging me to keep pushing forward. My dad, too, has been an incredible source of support—whether it’s watching over the short films I’ve been involved in or simply being there with words of wisdom when I needed them. Their love, belief in me, and constant encouragement have helped me stay grounded and motivated. I couldn’t have gotten this far without them, and I’m so grateful for their presence in my life.
