We had the good fortune of connecting with Shon Plant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind all business I would say is having confidence in yourself and what you’re doing. It is something that will come in time it isn’t immediate, but believing in your abilities to do the things you need to do to get you to where you need to go is the essential thing to succeed in any things.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Not an easy road at all but it’s worth it 10fold if you truly love what you’re doing, your life consisting of getting to work on your craft everyday and make something happen is the best way to live. I overcame everything with perseverance of continuing to move forward, that’s the only way to do it. I’ve learned to trust in your vision and yourself, and not to allow outside influences to affect where you’re going and what you’re doing. My message to the world would be to keep your chin up and keep shit moving and do what you love and chase it to the fullest that is how you create champions highly recommend.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Fading: Breakfast Klub, Various South American Food Spots, Frank’s, Fade a show at White Oak or Warehouse, skate the city downtown, and that’s all just pre-req’s the city has way too much to offer, Montrose, Agora, the museums, the city has too much to offer we are blessed.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would 100% have to give up almost all of my success to my influences growing up ranging from everyone from Redman, Steel Pulse, HOV, Dead Kennedys, Mac Miller, Bad Religion, Tribe, KRIT, Paul Wall, Etc. The list goes on for years but I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I’m out now if I didn’t have these people to look up to coming up.
