We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Ulrich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emily, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I really wanted to highlight the benefits of rescuing and how it can change a life. We rescued all four of our dogs from the shelter and they became our family. If I have a bad day, it takes one hug to brighten it completely. I love sharing to my audience how saving an animals life can not only benefit you, but also the animal. Three of our rescue dogs were on the euth list when we rescued them and we saved their lives. It’s amazing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It took a lot of time to build my audience on Instagram, but the followers mean so much to me. I’ve learned so much about others lives and built friendships from the page. I think it’s a great way to connect and have a positive platform. I’ve had a few push backs, but I try to respect and acknowledge everyone’s opinion. I believe everyone is entitled to their own view. I would love everyone to know that I believe every animal should live a happy life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them somewhere in Downtown, Houston. I love all of the parks and museums! I would let them meet our dogs and possibly have a pet play date.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my story to BARC Animal Shelter. That is where I found my love and passion for working with rescue animals.
