Meet Gabby Ring

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabby Ring and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabby, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Candlelight Coaching is the name of my company. Let me explain the meaning behind my business name. Most people are in pain unnecessarily and normally business leaders are high achievers and push through that pain. However there are times when fear, burn out, frustration, and stress impact a person’s mental and physical health to an extreme. An event occurred where someone died by suicide and left behind not only a large family but a letter that indicated it was due to their work situation. When work becomes the source of that kind of despair and a person cannot see beyond their current circumstances, something has to change. I founded my business to help leaders raise their level of awareness, energy, and action to create forward momentum that advances them towards a better and brighter tomorrow. I believe there is a candle in every person and some are brightly burning and some dimly lit. My mission is to accompany others on their journey to transform their lives into one of hope and joy so they can make better choices and in the process nourish their soul to grow closer to God. I am bringing light and igniting action one person at a time to light up the world.
What should our readers know about your business?
I formed my business in 2022, leveraging the skills and experience of over 25+ years of executive management and leadership roles in diverse and challenging corporate environments. The range and depth of competence comes from working at both a large oil company and a smaller independent specialty company during times of business transition, accelerated growth, spin offs, strategy adjustments, layoffs, and organizational changes. I have hands on experience with these activities and I know how difficult things can get. I am resilient, driven, and focused on developing others. I was the first female to sell into the mining industry for my organization in 1997 and then I was the first female plant manager over a manufacturing facility in 2013. These experiences, skills, and my passion along with my engineering degree and my MBA set me apart in the coaching world. After becoming the VP of Manufacturing, I retired early so I can give back on a grander scale. Coaching is the way I do that. I know the pain points of business leaders and I know the transformations I have experienced. I want to share that transformation, self-awareness and ability to others. Our mindset sets the tone of the life we lead and live. We all have the ability to change and improve our lives because we have the ability to choose. Our choices don’t just impact us, they impact the world around us. I am changing the world one person at a time through my coaching.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like to support local businesses. So the farmers market, Los Cucos for good Mexican food, La Centerra for live music and drinks. Visiting the painted churches would be on the itinerary along with hanging out with family and friends at home.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my family! Without their love, support, and belief in me throughout my entire career, I would not be able to do what I am doing now. Their sacrifices involved moves, long hours, business trips, and tough decisions. I can’t thank them enough!
