We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriella Gallardo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriella, how do you think about risk?
Taking a risk is definitely scary to think about especially when not knowing the outcome. However, I will say In 2018 I took a big risk leaving from one state to another without any family. Little did I know I would get a job with a company who has invested in me and helped me become a successful adult. I am grateful that I took that big risk even though I was unsure where it would take me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
A little bit about my career. I am the sales coordinator at two hotels here in Houston. One located in the Humble area, and other in the Webster area. I also assist my Director of Sales with three of our Austin Properties. Something I feel that sets me aside from others is having an upbeat personality and making the work environment a fun place while getting things done. I am most proud of learning all that I can and investing in myself which has led me to two promotions so far. Although I love my job. There have been some challenging days; however, by having a positive attitude I have been able to overcome the challenges I have encountered. A skill I have learned along the way is managing the different personality of each employee. I like to find creative ways to better adapt to each individual’s learning style. I would like the community to know that any goal can be accomplished when you push yourself, accept constructive criticism and have a positive attitude.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Great thing about Houston is all there is to do and see. A Place i’d recommend for an individual looking to visit a more upbeat location with plenty to do and see, within walking distance , would be downtown. There are many restaurants, shops and places to grab a quick drink! for a more family oriented experience, i’d recommend the parks & museums. A few of my favorite restaurants are Z on 23, La Fisheria  & Chama Gaucha

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to Dedicate my Shoutout to Pathfinder Hospitality for giving me the opportunity  to be a part of their company and taking the time to invest in me by giving me all the resources I needed to be successful in their company. I would like to add a shoutout to my team for making this journey enjoyable. They all work so hard and are motivated to excel- in addition they value customer service as much as I do. We have become a work family and are frequently praising and motivating one another.
