We had the good fortune of connecting with Iesha Chavis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Iesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind my business started when I was 15 years old and I had my first job ever working at Burger King. I saw so many new things for my very first time that really sparked my interest which was really my love for food.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The thing that I am most excited about is coming out with my official business name. Funny thing is that most people think that my business name is Ms.Chavis TastyTreats but it’s actually not. I can honestly say I have came a very long way but I know I have a lot of more work to do before I can really say I have succeeded. In the food and beverage industry you have to do a lot of foot work and a lot of appearances to get your business out there. I have gone through many obstacles from good to bad but what keeps me going is the fact that I know that this is just the beginning of something to flourish and to blossom into something so beautiful. To the millions and billions of people all over the world I want them to know that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and through with it you will never know who may like what your doing especially when you’re doing something that you love. As for me and my brand this is something extra ordinary out of the blue I ask that you be on the lookout for something that feels comfortable and it feels new.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
See with this question right here I can’t be too picky choosy I go to so many places that is hard to choose. But what I can say is that the spots I love the most are the ones that serve food. Now the best spot for me is the rodeo right here in Houston Tx in the NRG parking lot. There’s food, drinks there’s the cook off and of course there’s also a amusement park. There’s nothing like the good old smell of hickory wood burning and a nice stiff drink in your hand.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a special shout out to my parents for always believing in me. My favorite saying or my favorite quote that my parents would always say to me (that anything I put my mind to I am able to achieve). Secondly I want to give a shout outs of my family and my friends because without them I would not be where I am today, Lastly I would love to give a Big shout out to my support system. I just don’t know how they deal with me and all of my craziness sometimes I think I will leave myself if I was with me. Someway somehow my support system still sticks besides me.
