We had the good fortune of connecting with Irma Mascorro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Irma, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
As a single mom, I think the most important thing is to show my son to never give us on his dreams. He has been with me every step of this journey. He has seen how hard it was at the beginning and how much effort a business takes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been doing floral work since I was 15 years old, never took my creativity serious until recently. I’ve seen a great turnout and I’m thankful for the support. It has not been easy and we are not fully to where we need to be, the encouraging words of family and customers is what keeps us going. Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is to never give up and try hard. I want the world to know that our brand wants to bring to the world the knowledge of flowers and plants thru our ancestors.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite restaurants will be John E’s in Crosby Texas, they have some of the best local seafood, if you’re in the mood for down home Texas BBQ hit your local BBQ 713 LLC food truck or check out Cupfusion for great desserts. Some great places to hang out for lid back drinks would be DNT drive in a local bar or Space Cowboy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In this journey my main support has been my parents, siblings, my boyfriend, some family and friends but most import my son he has been my main supporter and coworker.
