We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Granchamps and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cecile’s Bath & Body is a maker of luxurious, premium quality non-toxic skincare for head-to-toe moisture and softness. Every single product follows our motto – Made by hand, with care. I started making products over 10 years ago as holiday gifts and quickly realized how effective they were – clearing up my customers’ long-time skin conditions like acne and eczema through the use of pure natural ingredients. It’s taken consistent study and ingredient testing to create fully original formulas that work – none of it was easy but it was always full of joy! In every stage of business there are challenges and once you’ve solved one, two more pop up in its place! The key is to keep going and do your best. If there was only one thing I’d want people to know about me and Cecile’s is that bravery is our central quality. Our products leverage each ingredient towards a targeted result and often in ways no one expects! Being brave is about doing the thing no one expects you to do, and then seeing it thru!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in New York City so the sights are virtually unlimited — the people here are used to seeing and experiencing the best life has to offer in food, music and of course, non toxic skincare! I like to say you can visit every country in the world just by coming to New York. One of the most interesting places has always been Manhattan’s Chinatown and the Kamwo traditional Chinese pharmacy located just off Mott St. It’s where I’ve sourced traditional remedies, teas, and herbs for our family. Then I’d head over to my favorite Japanese Izakaya called Village Yokocho – there’s always a line but worth every second! There also happens to be a hidden bar to be discovered that makes intensely unique cocktails. Last but never the least I’d hang out in Times Square on a Tuesday night! There’s just something about seeing street performers and regular folks hanging out on a warm night that makes it feel great to be alive.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My number one fan has always been my husband Marc. He is my official product tester and Cheer Captain on team Cecile’s!
