We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqui & Kathryn Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacqui & Kathryn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is that we don’t ever stop striving to improve. We are constantly taking courses and watching videos on different techniques for photography, the best equipment in the industry, ways to up our social media game, and personal growth. This is the driving force behind our continued success and growth because our business is never static. It’s always evolving as we get better! Not to mention having couples that are over the moon with their experience write the best reviews. These help tell the story of our growth and are fundamental for future couples to trust us with the best day of their lives.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are a natural light wedding photography team that values authenticity, joy, and sentimentality. Quality work is expected from photographers in this day and age, so we stand out with a quality, meaningful experience. We work hard to customize every step of our clients’ journey with us, including a customized shot list/timeline, gifts to show our gratitude, and special prompts during photo sessions to encourage authentic moments between bride and groom. We’re so excited about our evolution as a business and our passion for growth! It took us years to truly develop our style and the type of weddings we want to capture. The biggest lesson we’ve learned is that we’re never finished evolving and improving our client process as well as our quality of work as a whole.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Two of our favorite things to do are to have margaritas and queso and go hang out at breweries with our husbands! So the first thing we would do is go grab a margarita at Rancho Grande in Tomball! We love these because they don’t hold back on the tequila. We would then plan a whole day to go visit St. Arnold Brewing Company near Downtown with family and friends. They have an amazing atmosphere to hang out, drink beer, play some yard games, and take a tour of their brewery! If you wanted to take the kids somewhere fun, the Downtown Aquarium would be our fave pick! It’s a traditional indoor aquarium, a carnival, and an amazing restaurant all in one.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The two people who deserve the most recognition are our husbands, Andrew and Matthew. From watching the kids so we can have a meeting to manning our booth at an open house so we can shoot a wedding, these two men have been so vital to our success! In a way, they are also the reason we even know each other to begin with! We are very grateful for their prolonged support and hard work.
