We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Huerta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Houston Texas. My background had a huge impact on my upbringing. I moved to Germany in 2008, my Dads in the military so I moved around a lot. I lived overseas for 7 years. Living in Europe exposed me to so much the world had to offer. I learned a lot about different cultures, being able to go to places people dreamed of going at such a young age. I had traveled almost everywhere while being in Germany, it was truly a blessing. Being a military child it forced me to adapt to new environments quickly. Every 3 years we would move to a new location, that meant new friends, new school, new everything. I’m thankful for being taught how to adapt quickly , now that I’m older I feel like I’m ready for anything that’s thrown my way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I do all mediums of art, I currently specialize in graphic design. I think my art stand out against other graphic design by my level of detail. I put my heart into everything I do, I like to think you can visual see how much I care about my artwork. I’m very proud of my accomplishment, I never thought I’d be in this position working with some of the biggest rappers. It definitely was not an easy rode. I’ve experienced plenty of ups and downs, I overcame each obstacle by remembering all the negative things said to me about becoming an artist. When I felt like quitting I remember everyone who said I wouldn’t make it. Their words motivated me to prove them wrong. I feel like I’ve learned so many lessons while on my journey. I’ve learned how to move in the business world. I learned a lot of lessons the hard way. I’m thankful for all my Ls, they where all lessons I had to learn to better my self. I want the world to see me and be inspired. I truly feel like I’m nothing special yet here I am making my dreams a reality. If I can do it so can you.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wanna shoutout my parents! Without them I’d be nothing. They are the reason I can call myself an artist today. Since the beginning they’ve encouraged me to chase my dreams, they’ve always supported me. I started off drawing by hand, art supplies back then were expensive. My parents bought me all the best supplies I needed to continue with my passion for art. Now that I’m older I look back and see how much they invested in me, I realized how lucky I am to have parents like mine who went the extra mile for me. When I was at the store one day, I told my Mom I wanted to try digital art, she didn’t hesitate and bought my 1st art tablet in 2016. I currently make a living off my artwork today using the same tablet. Every time I look down it’s a reminder to me of my parents and how much they support me. Thanks Mom & Dad
