We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaha Jefferson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaha, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson I learned as an entrepreneur is Patience! Before I started my business I had absolutely no patience, I wanted everything to happen now and after my first year of being an entrepreneur I quickly realized the difference between then and now. I now let things happen naturally and trust the process, as where before I would just make a decision and think about the consequences later. Now I appreciate all the bumps in the road and my past failures. Not saying I have it all figured out now but I know more now than I did before.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I want the world to know Stylesbyyourstruly as a brand. I love the art of doing hair and creating unique styles. I truly care about the health of my clients hair and want to continue providing products that helps them maintain healthy hair. I am destined for greatness and I’m not stopping until I get there!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a foodie so I’m going to start off at the Breakfast Klub, then Taste Bar for the best Lamb Chops, of course the Galleria to shop, Lost and Found, Lotus Seafood, the Truck Yard, go to Wonder Bar or the Color Factory for some photos, visit Buffalo Bayou to see the city, and we can party at Kamp and Chapman and Kirby.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shout out to the family and friends who were my first clients and pushed me to continue my education and pursue cosmetology school.
