We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Night and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My end goal is to make a way for my friends and my family through the music. I want to be able to touch the world and inspire the next generation. Even though music is my passion I see it as a gateway to achieve even bigger things in life. In all honesty by the end I just want the people that I’ve helped and/or inspired to keep that energy alive!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been making music for most of my life but never really thought of it as a career path. When I first started I would record 3,4, or 5 songs a day and drop one a day. But a few years back I took a step back and said I have to be different and with being different means being yourself. I’d say that’s what makes me stand out indefinitely, all my music is me and nothing but me! I’ve been engineering my own music since day one and that feels good to know something is exactly how I wanted it to be. The best and only advice you should take is risking and investing in yourself! Things happen if you believe they will happen! Hbk Revenge will leave a lasting impression on the world and he’s here to stay!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I stay in the fast city known as Houston, their is so much stuff to do it almost feels like it’s nothing to do! You definitely have to hit up all the fire taco trucks because tacos for a dollar 🤣🤣 My favorite thing to do out here is really relax at parks and enjoy the scenery away from the city part. Main event is always a good time as well! Just being in the city you’ll see some of the most interesting people but I would say definitely the club scene is where you get it poppin!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give credit to my right hand man Brendo! Back in freshmen year I never saw myself making music but he would come over everyday and just ask to freestyle. One day I finally caved in and it’s been history since. He keeps me motivated because I can see he truly believes in me and my talents! Without Brendo, Hbk Revenge wouldn’t be here!
