Hi Jayla, what principle do you value most?
I have a lot of value/principals I live by but if I had to choose one that matters to me most it would be love . The reason I say love is because wits such a universal thing that we are all seeking and that we all value, rather it’s the love of your spouse , the love of your kids , the love of clients , fans , customers , family etc whatever love your seeking for some reason love consumes us or the idea of feeling love , being love or giving love. I believe without the love of god we are useless in the area of love there is a special type of grace that comes with being able to give/receive the same level of love God gave us . It eliminates so many worldly things we seek love from because in all honestly everything you seek outward is already created inward but it takes the love of God to realize that .

What should our readers know about your business?
So I am a Minority Owned Lash , Cosmetic , And Vending Hair Company what sets me apart mostly is what I am striving for in my business And that’s for woman to love themselves the way God love them. It’s not about what you have on , what your wearing what you’ drive , or if you wake up every morning at 5 am and eat celery for three hours it’s about what you truly feel on the inside. When you look inside yourself what/who do you see ? What purpose do you possess while your head on earth ? Are you satisfied with her and why ? That’s what I convey in my business it’s always deeper than the surface . I’m most proud of the growth I started my business in 2020 and I am just now getting to a point of “wow I’m proud of you “ and I’m currently in the middle of a re-launch but that’s life right ? That’s real authentic life it takes a few times for me to do my hair to be like “okay cute !” It takes a few tries of new food to say okay I’m going back for more it’s the same in business there is no race to success and there is no such thing as perfection you go back again and again and again until you get to a place of WOW ! look what God and I did when you get to a place of true inner fulfillment that’s when you should be most proud for myself that’s when I felt most proud and shockingly that feeling didn’t even come from running a business it was much deeper than that. It cracks me up when people are on social media and they repost #Goals” I always ask well what’s his/her goals the fancy car the big house the designer bags another woman’s/man relationship? It really creates a mini questionnaire in my head running a business is anything but easy , heck anything in life worth having it is going to take every ounce of strength in you to persevere through the hardships , the trials , the errors , and the hick-ups. When I first started off I was doing everything for the wrong reason and I literally lost everything it wasn’t until I realized this life is not my own , I’m on this earth for a divine purpose God has to be the head of anything you do for it to truly prosper there is something about faith as small as a mustard seed that will take you to heights your mind didn’t even know existed life is a big classroom everyday is a day to learn something new , grow from something that’s hindering you and heal from what’s hurting you. As long as you live you’ll never stop learning lesson my advice is to embrace them every lesson is a opportunity to grow and elevate you never want to stay the same . I want the world to know I am just like them a woman , mother , wife , everyday girl with Christ in her everyday life my brand also reflects exactly who I am.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well honestly my best friend is my husband . I actually don’t have any girlfriends that I have spiritually connected with I’m very cautious on who I keep around my aura , however if my hubby and I had a week long trip we would do any and everything I am a HUGE foodie I have a full camera roll of screenshotted food places it’s so bad lol, We would go boat riding in Herman park , the duck fly over too you while your paddling , we would probably go get shakes Oreo cheesecake to be exact and go eat soul food like all week seafood all week we would really enjoy nature and eat we are so simple . I think anything that makes you think about life or appreciate the simple pleasures of life is my idea of fun.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh man ! Where do I start it’s so many divine people I have met along my journey that I could give a s/o too. First I want to give a s/o to God and his grace over my life to God be the glory for everything I have and will accumulate secondly I have to give a s/o to my parents for bringing me into this world but for where I’m at now in my life I have to give a huge s/o to my hubby , Tyler Hawkins if we had all day and some more days I could talk to hours about how our meeting each other changed my life and my perspective in so many ways but we don’t have forever so I can start by simply telling him thank you for teaching me how to be bold in myself how to be fearless and presentist and patient with myself. I’m such a person who’s hard on themselves I am my biggest critic & he has taught me so many monumental things that have kept me going on a daily his love keeps me going even when I feel like giving up he is truly my partner in Christ & life we have been through so many life changing things together and the amount of growth that has been done from the inside out is remarkable. He’s my best friend lol , he’s my person. Also have to give a s/o to our son Rodney man oh man he’s 8 years old and just a pure joy to be around he is my motivation to provide him with a life that I didn’t have keeps me getting up everyday he’s such a interesting, smart lovable kid he will have you feeling like you can do anything in this world and I like to think that’s a reflection of our partnering but that’s a pure reflection of God’s love for me that he blessed me with this amazing kid to teach , love , grow and just experience the physical and spiritual aspects of life with I’m so honored to be his mother. Aside from my family I have met some remarkable people in my life mostly strangers , some acquaintance if I had to choose someone I would want to shoutout it would be the AMAZING Coach Attiya founder of Wife Power and various other business endeavors this divine connection was actually recently but so powerful I wouldn’t feel right not speaking on what she made me realize that was so huge for me . Her divine walk of life is so powerful you can feel it through a phone conversation (that’s how we met) I’ve recently became apart of Wife Power and I encourage every woman , mother , wife or soon to be wife in Christ to join this group it’s so so so powerful and life changing She has taught me the value of not seeking validation something that I have done my entire life (my hubby also told me this) but it forms different in your brain when it’s coming from someone you can relate to like another woman just that conversation alone changed my whole course of how I live in my truth , create boundaries for myself, and how I’m already validated in Christ so there is no need for validation of the world.
