We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaz Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaz, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve pursused an artistic career because I’m limitless to what I can produce. I love design and not just clothing but design in general; fashion, hair, interior, arts and crafts; etc. Having this business has allowed me to express my artistic self on so many levels. The crazy thing about my story is that I intially went to school for cosmetology and got my license to do hair professionally but I didn’t want to work in a salon all day so thats when I turned to fahsion. I realized how I could utilize my creative skills on a higher level and also make more money faster with fashion so thats what I stuck with.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The dope thing about my business is that we mass produce everything. This journey has not be  easy. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to find certain resources and perfect a product to produce and sell. From learining how to sew, to learning the different sewing machines, to studying fabrics and trimmings; the list goes on and on, but it is what sets us apart from the next business because we are unique. We source everything that we use to make our products stand out and have great quality.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My business and success would be no where without God. He has shown me and taught so much with this business on top of the blessings that he has supplied with me to be successful. I’m honored to also have such a great team behind me that is has talented and dedicated as I am to continue to grow the business and put in 110%. I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for God and my team.
