We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny McClure, Patty Rivera and Joy Zesch. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, Patty and Joy, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
We were born and raised in San Angelo, TX. Growing up, our Papa owned a variety of restaurants and our Dad ran many of them over the years so we grew up in the restaurant industry. Our Mom is also a phenomenal cook and as some of the older siblings of 10 kids we all 3 learned to cook at a very young age. Both of which made a huge impact on us and made us want to start a business in the food industry.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a family style meal prep business so I think the biggest thing that sets us apart is that we are geared towards supporting busy families who are wanting to skip the drive through and put a yummy, healthy meal on the table. We are excited to continue to grow and give more and more families another option for their day to day meal planning. We were able to start small and establish our business model by cooking for friends, family and co-workers. We wouldn’t say it was easy in the beginning but we have been able to slowly establish a customer base largely through word of mouth and social media. We are especially thankful for the small business community in San Angelo for their support and a huge shoutout to Brooklyn Clark for helping us get this opportunity. When owning a business I think you always have to be ready to adapt and roll with the punches. We started our business renting a very small commercial kitchen and after a short time realized we were outgrowing the space and had to quickly start looking for other options. We started this business because we all saw how family style meal prep can benefit so many people, from young families with babies at home, to parents of older children who stay busy taking their kids to and from their extra-curricular activities, to single people who just live busy lifestyles and need easy meals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
San Angelo is a small town with a great community, for someone experiencing it for the first time I’d say they definitely have to join us for the Rodeo, or an outdoor show at the San Angelo Riverstage. We love the community of San Angelo but we actually grew up outside of town and because of that we have come to love some of the small communities and places to go just outside of town, we enjoy going to Coopers BBQ in Christoval, The Filling Station in Rowena, and The Catch Pen in Miles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are a few people who supported and encouraged us the most, our Papa who owned many restaurants and has always encouraged us to be entrepreneurs. Our Dad who has a business mind and helped us with the business side of things and our Mom who taught us to cook and has helped us brainstorm recipes, ideas and how to make things work. We also want to thank our friends, family and co-workers who ordering from us while we were still recipe testing and working out the logistics as well as all our faithful customers since then!
