We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Seidu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
While on bedrest, pregnant, with my twins, I knew that I needed to find a way to keep myself busy and prevent overwhelm. My doctors and therapist at the time suggested I focus on personal development. I decided to start there and found out a whole lot more than I had expected, which was a heart for helping people find their dream home. I took the current skills I had, and decided to dive into digital marketing for real estate professionals. I knew that I understood the clients and could help connect them. This is how my online entrepreneurship journey began.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I currently lead a leadership development training program for a social services organization. The skills I learned, were acquired through previous career roles and working as a consultant and coach as an entrepreneur. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that experience is the best teacher. we always have to be willing to take that next step, and we don’t have all of the answers. I want the world to know that the gifts and talents that we carry are just one piece of the puzzle. When you match your gift and talents with strategy and purpose, that’s when you have a masterpiece, I intend to inspire other women to see and unlock their gifts and talents and implement the strategies and framework that I’ve learned that have helped me get to where I am today – doing my life’s best to work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Thats tough because I’m a bit of a home body and new to the California area. But the last time I went out for the weekend we went for a sisters weekend together (my little sister flew in town) to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the crookedest street in the world “Lombard Street”and played old school music with the windows down and was able to see one of the most beautiful views I have seen in my entire life. We also took pictures in front of the row of “Painted Ladies” and down the hill was the author, Alice Walkers of “The Color Purple” home which was marvelous for photos as well. It was the Best time ever.
