Meet Joe Carbajal | President

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Carbajal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joe, what do you attribute your success to?
Well of course the most important factor behind my success is my faith. I need God on my corner thru thick and thin! And there is a lot of ingredients that come along with success. You have to have a great team on your side, everybody that works for us is very important, like our warehouse guys, they must maintain a clean and organized shop, our CCR, they are in the frontline with our customers, answering the calls, our techs they go out and talk to our customers and perform the job, and even our cleaning staff, that maintain the office and restrooms clean and smelling good for us. I am a very disciplined person and I get obsessed with everything I do, even on my time off, I am masterminding, how to improve our company and give the customers the best experience when we service their home.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a plumbing company based in Houston Texas, 13 years in business. We strive in customer service . but also I am a big believer of taking care of our team. Without them, Texas Quality Plumbing wouldn’t be where its at right now. I believe if you take great care of the team , they in return will take care of our customers. I am excited to see everybody in our company grow, whenever one of our employees buys a new car or house, it really makes me proud. It wasn’t always smooth, I always tell the story that my wife, Mercedes did not get paid for the first 3 years and that me and my partner/brother used to make hardly anything. We actually didn’t make profit till our 7th year in business. So it was a challenge but we stayed consistent. And I will always used to tell my wife “Don’t look at our circumstance now look 5 years down the road!” I want everybody to know that I didn’t have a good start in life, and I am actually a high school dropout, but with hard work, consistency and a burning desire no matter where you are right now in life, you can accomplish all your GOALS.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely give them a tour of our facilities. Then I will show them around our great city Houston, Texas. I will take them to all of our favorite restaurants like, Chama Gaucha, Gran Colombia, Tony’s Mexican Restaurant, Chilosos Taco House, Ambrizas. I would take them to Kemah Boardwalk, Downtown Aquarium, Galleria, Lakewood Church.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I always have to thank my parents for loaning us the money to start our business, without that we will have never started. Also there has been many people in my life that have encouraged me and given me great business and life advise. I had a pastor when I wanted to start our business that I went to him for council, tell me Joe we walk by faith, so if you start your business, do it with faith, which gave me a lot of confidence. Before I started my business I read a book called “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and that really opened my mind. Now I am an avid reader and love books like “Think and Grow Rich” “How To Win Friends and Influence People” etc……. We were part of an organization called SGI, which I learned a lot about business, and met some great mentors there, like Steve Huff. I also follow advise from influencers like Grant Cardone, Robert Kiyosaki, Patrick Bet David, Bob Proctor are a few of influencers that I usually hear in my car or while I workout. Also my wife for always believing in my crazy GOALS and helping us to achieve them!!
