We had the good fortune of connecting with Jojo Trumbly and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jojo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The reason that I started my own business is because I wanted to afford people what had been given to me. I started networking with another network in 2018, the same year that my husband started Affordable Air Repair, and because of networking it gave him the ability to go full time with his business and support our family. In 2020…we all know what happened…the network I was apart of dissolved and at the time I was the president of one of the chapters. I reached out to all of my fellow members and kept our group going. From there, I started my own network with the support of those same visionary founders called The NET Level Up Networking. I really wanted to give everyone the opportunity to have success in their own family and local owned businesses the way that I have.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The NET Level Up Networking is a league or entrepreneurs and business owners that are looking to level up! We surround ourselves with people who strive to be the best that they can be. The NET members work on topics such as leadership skills, professional networking and self discipline. Rely on The NET Level Up Networking to help exceed your client’s expectations. The NET is here for advice on business management, client relations and expanding your market. Most successful businesses will tell you they could not have accomplished their goals without the help of their community. Members contribute by volunteering, working with non profits and raising awareness for causes in our community. What sets us apart from other networks is that we base our foundation of networking on 3 pillars: building, growing and serving. I am so proud to be building myself personally, growing my company and serving the community in which we live in.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great things to do in our area! I would love to shout out a few local businesses. In Conroe, Texas we have lots of great festivals that happen throughout the year. Downtown Conroe is a great place to be for all things local! There are a ton of adorable boutique shops, such as Main Street Market and Almost August (both women owned!). When you get done shopping and are hungry, check out Dragon Bowl C Noodle Bar (another great local restaurant). Later that night, I highly suggest you see a play or musical at the Owen Theatre and then afterwards you can do the Conroe Bar Crawl and head to Red Brick Tavern, Corner Pub and Fass Brewing in Conroe.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first person who deserves the most credit is my husband Jehu Trumbly. If he had never took that initial leap of faith with our HVAC business Affordable Air Repair, we would not be at this place we are today. I have learned so much from him and he has always been my biggest supporter. Also, I would not be able to do what I do without The Pillars. The Pillars are the board of directors at The NET Level Up Networking and consist of MaryAnn Adams (Memory Making Vacations) Sarah Goedde (Lone Star Appliance Repair) Adrian Rojas (In-Home Floors) Robert Green (Greenlight Movers) Brandy & Craig Williams (Excalibur Pest Control) and Deborah & Paul Inman (Paul the Plumber). I am so grateful for all that they have done and continue to do.
