We had the good fortune of connecting with Stevie Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stevie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
The creative career pursued me before I understood why. Me tapping into my creativity allows me to express my deepest emotions, If I don’t create, which serves as a way for me to release what no longer serves me, then I don’t flow with the rhythms of life.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am most proud of my growth. I listed myself as an artist, because most artists or creators that you may know are jacks of all trades. Being an artist exemplify my I AM presence, it doesn’t put me in a box, but instead it allows me to express myself in a way that I am able to inspire, uplift, and motivate others. What set me apart from others is simple, I am true to myself. I operate in a way that’s familiar to my soul and a stranger/weirdness to the world. Being true to myself is what makes me happy, not trying to fit into society’s norm. For me to live and speak my truths it definitely didn’t come easy, but due to growth, it was and is totally worth it. Some challenges that I’ve faced along the way was acceptance, wanting to be accepted by others, I quickly learned that all I needed was to accept myself and my tribe will come. The biggest challenge was learning to let go, even if it was a new venture I had just started. I quickly learned that I am someone whose always changing and in order for me to experience my hearts desires I have to release the control. Fear is not my friend, but my competitor, and I win the battle by getting out of my own way. By being better than I was yesterday. My brand Planted With Lohv is a Holistic brand that encourages others to connect with their star player with in, to be free, to appreciate and experience life and to really know that life is grand and worth living! My brand teaches that in order to change your life you have to first change your mind, and in order to change your mind you must change what you’re feeding yourself physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. It teaches those who desire to be better an opportunity to be just that, because change starts with self!
