Meet Kaden Demedeiros | Creative Director & Cinematographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaden Demedeiros and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaden, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk has shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve always been “risk on,” never really afraid to take the leap. For me, taking risks is the only way to build the life I want—to do what I want, when I want, how I want. It’s not always easy, but over time you become empowered by it. When a risky decision pays off, there’s no better feeling—you start to trust yourself more, even when everything is on the line. And honestly, the worst thing that can happen is you end up back where you started. I’ve had to start at square one plenty of times, and each time, I built it back up by betting on myself and taking that leap of faith again.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my creative eye due to my life experiences, connection to myself and others along with my openness to collaboration. I got where I am today professionally because I wanted to pursue a career that was fulfilling, allowed me to create without restrictions & gave me creative control over my work & life. It has not been easy by any means, I’ve had to sacrifice comfort, security & the ability to have an easy path to the top. I overcame the challenges I’ve faced by trusting in my abilities, being confident in the decisions I make & staying dedicated to my craft no matter what arises. Something I’ve learned along the way are that losses turn into lessons, it is part of the tuition cost of living life and building businesses. I’ve also learned that if you show up for yourself in the right ways & focus your energy in the right places, what is meant for you will come for you. Luck is the intersection where preparation meets opportunity. I want the world to know if I can do it, they can to. It took a lot to get here but I survived and now I am thriving. The work typically works on you more than you work on it, sometimes the journey is more important than the destination.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some food spots we would enjoy:
Central Market
Kasra Persian Grill
Luce Coffee Roasters
Recently just visited the Original Kolache Shoppe so would definitely take them there, it was amazing!
JAM Vietnamese Kitchen, the food is great and the Egg Yolk Vietnamese Coffee is so delicious.
Vibrant, a cafe in Montrose
Barcelona Wine Bar has a slightly elegant but laid back vibe and is always popping!
Things to do:
Miller Outdoor theater has been one of my favorite spots to see live music and performance shows recently
The Museum of Fine Arts Houston always has really cool exhibits and interesting art spanning across all types of genres
Bauhaus if the DJ’s performing are worth going to
I would for sure have to take them to a Jimmie show, one of my favorite Houston DJ’s
A night a Bald Kitty is a must, the coolest people, music and vibes are immaculate!
Sunset walks/runs in Buffalo Bayou Park are an absolute favorite of mine
The Flat has eclectic dj’s, drinks and pizza in an intimate setting in Midtown

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents & the brothers of my fraternity for sure deserve credit in this story. They have been pillars of support, inspiration and accountability! I am beyond grateful to have them in my life and wouldn’t be the person or where I am today without them.
