We had the good fortune of connecting with Kassie Simmons, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kassie, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
John C. Maxwell Quote: “Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing. That’s the Law of Consistency. It emphasizes the importance of both motivation and discipline in personal growth. Motivation serves as the initial spark, propelling you forward, but it’s the discipline that sustains and nurtures that growth over time. Consistency in your efforts, driven by discipline, becomes the key factor in achieving lasting progress and development. It’s a valuable reminder that while inspiration can ignite change, it’s the daily commitment and self-discipline that lead to continuous improvement and personal evolution. I resonate with this quote because while inspiration can start the journey, sustained growth requires steadfast discipline.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As the Founder and CEO of New Credit New You, LLC, I am driven by a personal journey that ignited the mission of providing credit education and empowering individuals to build the credit necessary for financial freedom and the attainment of their dreams. Our belief in the principles of faith, ethics, and empowerment forms the core of our commitment to offering exceptional credit solutions and education to those we serve.
The genesis of New Credit New You dates back around fifteen years when my son and I found ourselves in a brand-new lease home. A pivotal moment occurred when I received an account statement revealing that I had paid $24,000 to the rental company over two years – a realization that prompted a decision to move and invest in my own home. Despite setbacks, including unsuccessful engagements with credit companies and moving into a one-bedroom apartment, my determination remained unwavering.
Facing disappointments with credit repair promises, I hired another credit company and moved in with a family member, determined to achieve my goal within a four-month window. However, setbacks persisted, prompting a shift in approach. Armed with research and a determination to take control of my financial destiny, I successfully increased my credit score and qualified for a home within the timeframe while living with family.
This transformative journey fueled my conviction that my experiences were meant to serve a purpose. New Credit New You was born from this realization, with a commitment to using the gift of knowledge and personal triumph to help others navigate their own credit and financial journeys. Our mission is not just about education and rebuilding; it’s about instilling faith, working diligently, and believing that miracles are possible through the power of perseverance and determination.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our week would kick off with Sunday at church, followed by a delightful brunch at Grace’s on Kirby, and the day would culminate with a satisfying dinner experience at Steak 48. Monday, a day of rest, would transition into a dinner rendezvous at Mastro’s in The Woodlands. Tuesday would be dedicated to retail therapy at The Galleria, complemented by a delicious lunch at Roupour in Memorial City, and a serene patio evening to unwind. Midweek, we’d break a sweat at Hotworx, refueling with a healthy lunch at Federal Grill. Thursday invites relaxation by the pool, immersing into a good book, and a delightful dinner at Tris in The Woodlands. Friday would start with a lunch affair at Sixty Vines, exploring the Market Place, leading to an evening of culinary delight at Trulucks, followed by a night out at the Rose Roof Top. This curated week combines indulgence, leisure, and exploration for an unforgettable experience.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to express my heartfelt shoutout to my son, Kaleb Smith. He is not just my inspiration; he’s the reason I dared to dream bigger, the source of my hope, my constant motivator, and the one who encourages me to persist. Kaleb, my miracle baby, instilled in me the belief that I had more to birth, and for that, I am forever grateful.
