Hi Kayla, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Where there’s a will, there’s a way” This quote has always been a phrase that reminded me to push through and never give up on my goals and dreams. It wasn’t until I began my journey to following my dreams of opening a business that this quote no longer held the same weight it once had. See I learned that the will I had for my life was not anything compared to the will God had for my life. Once I learned that and let go of my desires, I was filled with the will that God had for my life which was so much better then what I thought I wanted for myself! Now the quote “when God has a will, he will make a way” motivates me like never before. Not only did I start a business, I was able to open my very first store front! Gods will was much bigger then my own. So I now know truly that, “when God has a will, he will make a way”!!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am so proud to announce that LaShae Virgin Hair has officially opened it’s first physical location! Our show room is a Hairtique like no other! What sets us apart from other hair companies is the fact that we are more than just hair! We are a life style. We are a one stop shop, offering a luxurious experience! I am most excited about knowing that we are the first Hairtique on located on the North side of HOUSTON, Tx! Opening a store front during a pandemic was definitely challenging! There were a lot of obstacles to over come. From shipping delays to being quarantined! But I learned that no matter what happens you have to keep going. Always find the beauty in life’s imperfections! Use your delays and set back as opportunities and lessons, an most of all never give up!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
LaShae Virgin Hair is definitely a place to visit. If my best friend was visiting and I wanted to show her the best time I would definitely bring her to my Hairtique. We would get our hair done, lashes done, followed by a little shopping and wine! A true glam day! These are all services provided by My company! LaShae Virgin Hair is definitely a place you must check out for a Luxurious experience fit for a Queen!

When starting a business it is so important to have a solid support team. My Husband (Corbin Mickens) deserves so much credit for motivating me, encouraging me, and consistently working behind the scenes to ensure the success of my business! My son (Kayden), my father (Terrance) best friend (Ashley), and little sister (Terrica) also deserves credit for all the prep talks, kind words, and putting up with everything that came from the stress of opening a business. My support team has been nothing short of amazing! Thank you all and I love you!
