We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Prier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to make people feel good about themselves. I get a thrill when I can help someone love themselves again.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One thing that I thrive to do is constantly learn, constantly take classes to better myself, so that I can better help others. I learned that nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream, so you have to push yourself to be better than yesterday. Everyday you may not make a profit but you may have turned someone’s frown upside down without even knowing it. My brand is my heart, I want people to trust me to help them and feel comfortable knowing that once they come to me I pride myself, my name and my heart in doing the best I can for them. It took a lot of learning, a lot of trial and error, plenty bad days, good days and to get where I am and I want others who see me to be better than I am.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d definitely take them to a Houston Rockets Game, the zoo, and Top Golf. We’d go to Lotus Seafood because I love seafood and their food is great and we’d mellow down by visiting Katy Park and go fishing in downtown Katy. The people and atmosphere there is great.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to women and men who need a little push, the ones that wake up and don’t always feel pretty. You are beautiful!
