Meet Keistyiuana Benson | Tax Mentor & CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keistyiuana Benson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keistyiuana, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business and career has taught me is this:
Success doesn’t come from knowing everything — it comes from being willing to learn, unlearn, and stay consistent.
When I first started, I thought I had to have it all figured out to be taken seriously. But over time, I realized that what truly moves the needle is resilience, resourcefulness, and relationships. I’ve had wins, I’ve had losses, and I’ve made decisions that stretched me beyond my comfort zone — but every single experience taught me how to lead better, serve smarter, and grow stronger.
It also taught me the power of alignment. You can chase money or status, but if your business isn’t aligned with your purpose, it’ll drain you. I built my brand to empower others because that’s what fulfills me. That’s what makes the long nights worth it.
Lastly — you need the right people around you. Mentorship, community, and collaboration are game-changers. You don’t need to do it all alone to be successful. In fact, trying to do it all alone will slow you down.
If there’s one thing I want every entrepreneur to know, it’s this: Be a student. Stay the course. And don’t let setbacks make you forget who you are.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the proud founder of Elite Tax Solutions, a mentorship-driven company that empowers tax professionals, EROs, and aspiring entrepreneurs to build thriving businesses. What sets us apart is simple: we don’t just hand you software or tell you to hustle — we walk with you every step of the way. From teaching backend profit strategies to helping you form your LLC the right way, our mission is to turn confusion into clarity and income into impact.
My journey wasn’t easy. I started in this industry like many others — full of ambition but lacking real guidance. I didn’t have someone breaking things down, warning me about shady backend splits, or showing me how to truly maximize my EFIN. I learned through trial, error, and a lot of late nights. But instead of letting those obstacles break me, I let them build me.
Now, I’ve turned that pain into purpose by mentoring others. I’ve helped dozens of tax professionals launch, scale, and structure their businesses properly — and I do it with transparency, accountability, and a whole lot of strategy.
I’m most proud of creating a community where people feel seen, supported, and successful. I want the world to know that Elite Tax Solutions isn’t just a brand — it’s a movement. We’re helping people shift from survival to structure, from paycheck to purpose, and from confusion to confidence.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned? You don’t need to know it all — you just need the right mentor in your corner. And that’s exactly who I strive to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If My Best Friend Came to Visit for a Week — Here’s How I’d Show Them the Best Time Ever
When my bestie comes into town, we’re not doing the average — we’re doing it the boss way. This week would be all about fun, good food, luxury vibes, and creating unforgettable memories. Here’s how I’d plan it out:
🗓️ Day 1: Welcome & Wind Down
Pick-up with a vibe — car clean, music on, maybe a custom welcome gift bag with snacks, champagne, and a mini itinerary.
Dinner at a black-owned upscale spot — somewhere with good soul food and ambiance (think: crab legs, lamb chops, or Cajun pasta).
Back to the Airbnb or hotel to relax, unpack, and do a little “life talk” like we always do.
🗓️ Day 2: Boss Energy & Beauty
Morning iced coffee and brunch at a cute café with a patio.
Spa day — massages, facials, maybe a little steam room time to release all the stress.
Get our nails done (because we can’t be out here ashy or chipped).
Dinner at a rooftop lounge — think views, fire outfits, and mocktails or mimosas.
🗓️ Day 3: Business Meets Brunch
I’d take them to one of my favorite co-working lounges or café spots where I like to plan out business moves.
We’d do a little vision board session, talk goals, and maybe even hit a business networking mixer that night.
Dinner would be at a vibey tapas spot or wine bar.
🗓️ Day 4: Tourist Meets Local Life
Explore downtown or a local historic area — get cute pics for the ‘gram.
Visit a museum, a mural walk, or a unique small business market.
Grab lunch from a food truck or pop-up vendor.
Chill evening with a movie night or game night at home.
🗓️ Day 5: Adventure & Aesthetic
Do something fun: horseback riding, ATVing, painting with a twist, or a boat ride if the weather’s right.
Photoshoot with a local photographer — because memories and content matter!
Dinner at a high-end steakhouse or sushi bar to end the night with luxury.
🗓️ Day 6: Day Trip or Luxury Shopping
Drive to a nearby city or outlet mall for shopping, lunch, and girl talk.
Try something fun like a luxury picnic set-up or an upscale tea party.
Come back for dinner at home or order in with wine and Netflix.
🗓️ Day 7: Brunch & Reflections
End the week with a beautiful brunch (mimosas required), recap the trip, talk about what’s next in life and business.
Maybe stop by a church service, a rooftop pool, or just chill before dropping them off.
My Vibe for Any Visit?
Fun, food, elevation, and rest. I love creating experiences that feel intentional — a mix of joy, growth, beauty, and sisterhood.
If I had to sum it up? We’d eat good, look good, feel good, and leave with a fresh mindset and full heart. 💕

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely — no journey is ever walked alone, and I’m proud to give credit where it’s due.
I want to give a huge shoutout to my support system — especially my family and close friends who believed in me even when I questioned myself. Entrepreneurship can feel lonely, but their encouragement gave me the strength to keep pushing when things got tough.
I also have to recognize every mentee and client who’s trusted me — y’all are the real MVPs. Your faith in me, your results, and your growth fuel my purpose every single day. Seeing you win is what keeps me going.
Shoutout to my mentors and the trailblazers in the tax industry who paved the way — even if they didn’t know I was watching. I’ve learned so much from the success, the mistakes, and the game that’s often hidden behind closed doors.
And lastly, I’d like to acknowledge God, because there were seasons I didn’t have the answers, the resources, or the roadmap — but I always had grace, and that carried me through.
This journey isn’t just mine — it’s a reflection of every person who poured into me and pushed me to pour into others. And for that, I’m forever grateful. 💫
