We had the good fortune of connecting with Keke Poole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keke, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I ever had to make was to move from Mississippi to Texas. Even though I had plans to expand my business , it still was a scary thought. I had to heavily research and way out the different options of how, when , and why I was taking that leap of faith. Overall my difficult decision turned into my greatest blessing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a Personal Trainer is more than knowing what exercises to do or coach. It’s a lifestyle you have to live in order to be seen as true. I like to set myself apart from other trainers because I know how to be real with my clients. At the end of the day we are human and we are all on this journey called life. I am the most excited when clients are able to feel free and comfortable in their skin. I’ve never had a person leave my class upset or disappointed which is a blessing. Now every class hasn’t the best but it has been fun:) The greatest compliment is seeing my clients come back or when they bring a friend. Through the years, I perfected my craft through job experience and continuous education from specialty workshops. These workshops included indoor cycle, yoga, and especially Zumba were an all day event. There are some online workshops or certifications that come easy but for the price of sharpening your skill no investment is too high. I’ve learned that as long as you have a dream and drive you can really take yourself anywhere. Keys2Fitness is a young brand in the fitness world but it is here to stay. We specialize in unlocking your potential through meal prep, meditation, and movement. We can have the keys!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to Shoutout Latorria Lemon and Vanessa Wade. They have basically pushed me into my purpose and have pour so much love and support into my business. Not only did they coach me with their mentorship, but it created a sisterhood that can not be broken.
