We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Moh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Doing my research. It is really important to know what you are getting into. Doing the pre work, help me to assess, strategize, and make the right decisions for my business and gain a competitive edge.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business provides a service that a lot of people struggle with. We teach the clients, women and men how to discover their personal style, so they feel comfortable and confident in whatever they wear. I specialize in closet edits, next level styling for everyday and photo shoots. I also personal shop for those clients that don’t know what they want to buy or just don’t have the time.

When I decide to start my own business I knew it would not be easy. Having a great support system has really gotten me through lots of long exhausting days.

What sets me apart from others is the experience. I build long lasting relationships with my clients and their referrals are the best compliment.

My approach is fun, relatable, and efficient! The best part of my job is the smile on my client’s face.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, We would definitely be headed to the malls and local boutiques. The Galleria, Tootsies, River Oaks District. For food I would take my friend for brunch at Brennners on the Bayou. They have the best corn flakes French toast. We would then head to Toro Toro for the sweet corn empanadas. Yoga on the rooftop at Post. Z on 23 is a must for the best skyline views while enjoying a drink.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As far as mentorship, I had the opportunity to work with several brands. During this time, I worked with some of the best in visual merchandising and worked closely with buyers to understand which pieces to buy and what customers wanted

From behind the scenes my husband has been my biggest supporter. He has also been my back up photographer and videographer “ insert laugh”

I also want to thank my friends for encouraging me when I felt I would Never reach my goal.

A book I referenced regularly throughout the year is “ A Year Of Positive Thinking “ by Cyndie Spiegel
